Our Story

Founded from Personal Experience

It was clear that there was a need for an online forum for families and PAs to connect

Personal Carer was founded with the aim of making it easier to find high-quality Personal Assistants (PAs) or Carers.

It all started when the founder who has Cerebral Palsy, was wanting to live independently at university and employ his own PA to provide student support for him. He found it difficult to find the right person who had similar interests and the ability to do the job.

It was clear that there was a need for an online forum for families and carers to connect with each other and most important for young disabled adults which would incorporate everything that true independent living requires. Personal Carer is dedicated to helping disabled people find PAs, carers for the elderly and housekeepers who meet their needs by providing an online forum for families and carers to connect with each other, arrange care, and share advice.

This website was originally called MyCampusAssistant.co.uk but was renamed in 2014.
